Eleven units in the Ngamo Forest on Hwange's south-eastern edge, the most accessible of Imvelo's three camps and the clearest example of its model. A private gate leads into the park fifteen minutes from camp, the sunken hide sits at eye level with drinking elephants, and community and school visits are built into the rate rather than sold as an extra. You can even arrive by Imvelo's own railcar from Dete.

What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Hwange National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Is Bomani Tented Lodge good for families?
Bomani is set up for families: there is a family tent with two rooms, and the two-bedroom Sable Suite, with two full bathrooms and a lounge, is often used by families. We found no published minimum age on the Bomani page, so ask when you enquire.
What does the rate at Bomani include?
Imvelo lists accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, beer, wine and local spirits, laundry, guided activities including night drives, and transfers from Bomani, Sipepa or Ngamo Siding. Community and school visits are built into the rate. Park fees, the Ngamo Wildlife Sanctuary and spa treatments are extra. Rates run from $445 to $670.
How do you get to Bomani Tented Lodge?
Fly in on a one-hour charter from Victoria Falls or Bulawayo to Bomani's own airstrip, take a four-hour road transfer, or ride Imvelo's Elephant Express railcar from Dete Station after a two-and-a-half-hour road transfer from Victoria Falls. The lodge's private gate into the park is fifteen minutes from camp.
Is Bomani good for a honeymoon?
Bomani has one honeymoon tent with a king bed, teak viewing decks and a splash pool, and Imvelo pitches it at honeymooners as well as multigenerational families. With up to 30 guests it is the largest of Imvelo's Hwange camps.
