Ivory Lodge
Raised treehouse chalets · Sikumi Forest, fifteen minutes from the Main Camp gate · Amalinda Safari Collection
A drawing stands in because nobody has sent us a photograph of Ivory Lodge yet. We only publish images we have permission for. Send us five and this page changes the same week.
Raised chalets on stilts on a private fenced conservancy, and the most practical family option in Hwange. The waterhole in front is floodlit and busy, there is a covered hide at ground level, and you can drive here yourself on tar from Victoria Falls in two and a half hours.
Why you'd pick it

- Ground-level hide with waiter service

Arranged from the lodge:

What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Hwange National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside, and almost no booking site shows you that.
- Park entryThe rate if you drive in from outside.
- $24per person, per day
- Vehicle$10 a day on a day visit, $3 if you are staying inside.
- $10per vehicle, per day
Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $174 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
The full fee schedule for Hwange National ParkRates
From $494 pppn. $568 May to October. Fully inclusive and, unusually, park fees are included, which makes it cheaper than the headline suggests.
What the rate covers is not confirmed. We have not been able to check whether meals, drinks and activities are included here, so treat this figure as the bed alone until it is.
Indicative 2026 rates from operators' own rate cards, gathered July 2026. Always confirm with the lodge. One thing to watch when comparing: some camps include ZimParks fees in their rate and some do not, which shifts the real gap by $12 to $36 per person per night.
