Nine canvas-and-thatch chalets on an old riverbed where elephants come to drink, and where they have a habit of emptying the pool. Run by a Zimbabwean family whose trust funds clinics and schools in Dete. Being on a private concession means night drives, which the park itself does not allow.

What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Hwange National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside, and almost no booking site shows you that.
